Surveys can have an influence on elections by shaping public opinion and potentially swaying undecided voters. When surveys show a candidate in the lead, it can create a sense of momentum and inevitability around their campaign, which may encourage more people to support that candidate. Additionally, surveys can also influence campaign strategies, as candidates may adjust their messaging or policies based on survey results in order to appeal to the preferences of the electorate.
